USDA and USFRA Sign Agreement Promoting U.S. Agriculture

(WASHINGTON, DC) USDA and the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance (USFRA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Tuesday to promote U.S. agriculture and agricultural products in both domestic and international markets. The partnership builds the inaugural Honor the Harvest Forum, held recently in Newburg, Maryland. Specifically, the MOU outlines goals that include: building awareness of the importance of agriculture to the rural economy; reinforcing the relationship between what U.S. farmers produce and what consumers eat; supporting awareness of U.S. agriculture’s key role in an environmentally-sustainable food value chain, and; driving demand for U.S. agricultural products in both domestic and overseas markets.
