As the World Trade Organization struggles to determine its role in future global trade, its top-ranking official is urging member-nations to make extensive reforms to existing global farm trade rules.
Speaking Tuesday at the “1+6” roundtable meeting, World Trade Organization Deputy Director-General Alan Wolff urged members to begin serious engagement on improving the WTO, arguing there was enough common ground to reach major new agreements.
