New Farm Equipment Sales Showing Signs of Improvement
MILWAUKEE, WI – Overall, farm tractor sales continued to grow across North America in October according to the latest data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). In total, U.S. farm tractor sales increased 18.1 percent last month compared to October 2019, while combine sales grew 14.8 percent. Sales of four-wheel-drive units increased for the third consecutive month, up 22.8 percent, putting year-to-date segment sales in the black for the first time this year, now up 1 percent. Large farm tractors, those over 100 horsepower, saw demand grow in October with sales increasing 9.7 percent. Total sales of all farm tractors this year are up 15.1 percent year to date, while combines sales are 5.5 percent higher than in 2019.
