National Biodiesel Board Rebrands as Clean Fuels Alliance
LAS VEGAS, NV – For the past 30 years, the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) has advocated for a renewable, clean-burning diesel replacement that is “reducing U.S. dependence on imported diesel, creating green jobs and improving our environment.”
Though the message will remain the same moving forward, on Tuesday during the Opening General Session of the group’s conference and expo, NBB CEO Donnell Rehagen unveiled a new name and new brand for the industry’s future.
Known now as the Clean Fuels Alliance America, Rehagen says the group “envisions the transformation to Clean Fuels as a way to further the organization,s position as a proven, innovative part of America’s clean energy mix and help the industry represent all its industry members: biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuels”.
Biodiesel is made from an increasingly diverse mix of resources including agricultural oils, recycled cooking oil, and animal fats, and is represented by the state, national, and international feedstock and feedstock processor organizations, biodiesel suppliers, fuel marketers, distributors, and technology providers.
The 2022 National Biodiesel Conference and Expo continue through Thursday in Las Vegas.
