Keeping The Change? Coin Task Force Asking Why

WASHINGTON – As 2020 draws to a close the U.S. Coin Task Force is asking banks if they are still seeing coin shortages.

Started this summer in response to growing concerns over the lack of coins in circulation, the task force has asked banks to weigh in on a quick survey to measure the level of shortages banks are experiencing.

The Indepentdent Community Bankers of America is part of the task force, and says they are working to “Address the coin supply chain issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Survey responses are due Noveber 11.
