FSA Establishes Call Center to Assist New Customers

WASHINGTON, DC – With so many different programs and deadlines facing producers this year, USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) has set up a call center to provide answers and assistance. Since opening in May, the call center has already received over 16,000 calls. With new programs rolling out in 2020 like WHIP-Plus and the Coronavirus Food and Assistance Program (CFAP), and county offices closed nationwide due to the COVID-19 shutdown, farmers and ranchers can find immediate assistance and get a jump start on program applications. According to the FSA, the call center was created as a way to better serve customers, especially those who have not worked with FSA previously, during the CFAP signup.
