Five Bills Passed By House Agriculture Committee Thursday

WASHINGTON, DC – The House Agriculture Committee on Thursday favorably reported five bills out of Committee, four by voice vote. The bills now head to the floor of the House for consideration.

H.R. 4252 would provide additional funding for scholarships for students at 1890’s institutions, sponsored by Chairman David Scott (GA-D), passed 45-3.

H.R. 5608, the bipartisan Chronic Wasting Disease Research and Management Act sponsored by Rep. Ron Kind (WI-D) and House Agriculture Committee Ranking Member GT Thompson (PA-R), passed by voice vote.

H.R. 4489 is the National Forest Restoration and Remediation Act, sponsored by Rep. Kim Schrier (WA-D) and Rep. Doug LaMalfa (CA-R) passed by voice vote.

H.R. 5609 is the Cattle Contract Library Act of 2021, sponsored by Rep. Dusty Johnson (SD-R) and Rep. Henry Cuellar (TX-D), passed by voice vote.

H.R. 5589, the Pyrolysis Innovation Grants Act sponsored by Rep. Josh Harder (CA-D), also passed out of Committee by voice vote.
