Ethanol Production Declined Last Week as Stocks Build

(WASHINGTON, DC) Ethanol production slid to an average of 996,000 barrels per day (b/d), or 41.83 million gallons daily over the past week, according to the latest information from the Energy Information Administration (EIA). This represents a three percent decline from the previous week. The four-week average production rate declined almost one percent to a 70-week low of one million b/d, or an annualized rate of 15.35 billion gallons. For the first time in three weeks, stocks of ethanol rose with builds occurring mainly in the East Coast and Gulf Coast regions. There were no imports for the fourteenth week in a row.
