Corn and Soybean Exports Hit Marketing Year Highs
WASHINGTON, DC – Export markets stepped up last week to import a marketing-year high of U.S. option corn and soybeans. In addition, exports improved for wheat, cotton, beef, and pork as well, while exports of the U.S. slipped. China was the top export destination for U.S. soybeans during the week and the number two destination for wheat, cotton, and pork. Mexico remained the top customer for U.S. wheat and corn, number two for sorghum and a top-three destination for beef and pork. Only sorghum exports declined week over week as Japan took delivery of more than 99 percent of the U.S. deliveries.
