Climate Change Headlines USDA’s 97th Annual Outlook Forum

WASHINGTON, DC – USDA’s 97th Annual Agricultural Outlook Forum gets underway this week with the first presentation coming from Chief Economist Dr. Seth Meyer, who just returned to the Department after having been away for a few years. His presentation on the 2021 Agricultural Economic & Foreign Trade Outlook sets the stage for the two-day event that will be followed by a detailed discussion on “Addressing Climate Change and Sustainability Through Innovation”. Breakout sessions on Wednesday include Food Price & Farm Income Outlooks, U.S. Trade & The Global Market Place, Supply Chain Resilience, Managing Risk & Ensuring Sustainability, and Innovation and Productivity. Thursday’s highlights include Innovation and Technology, Supply Chain Resilience, Managing Risk & Ensuring Sustainability, and General Commodity Outlooks.
