Beef Exports Rebound From Recent Lows, Below 2019
DENVER, CO – July exports of U.S. beef rebounded from recent lows but remained below 2019 levels, according to data released by USDA. Beef exports for the month totaled 107,298 metric tons, a 36 percent increase from June but still 9 percent lower than the same time last year. The export value was $647.8 million, the highest since March but also 10 percent lower than one year ago. Exports to China increased sharply and shipments trended higher to Taiwan, Canada, and Hong Kong. July exports were lower than a year ago to Japan and South Korea and exports to Mexico fell dramatically.
