Another Strong Month for New Farm Tractor Sales
MILWAUKEE, WI – Following a good year for new farm tractor and combine sales, January continued to experience the upward trend according to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). In their monthly Flash Report, AEM explained that farm tractor sales increased 28 percent compared to January of 2020, while combine sale grew 77 percent over the same time period. One of the hottest category of tractors continues to be the small utility class (under 40-horsepower) which experienced sales growth of 33 percent. Large tractors, over 100-horsepower, saw sales increase by just over 1 percent adding to the 3 percent growth from 2020. The largest growth for the month however was in four-wheel-drive units that saw a 34 percent year over year gain in January.
