Agricultural Equipment Sales Continue Year Over Year Growth
(MILWAUKEE, WI) The month of March saw mostly positive numbers for U.S. sales of Ag tractors and combines according to the latest sales data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). Total 2-wheel-drive tractor sales for the U.S. in March experienced a slight drop compared to March of 2018. However, tractors under 40 horsepower and over 100 horsepower both saw growth over the past year. These increased sales were overshadowed by the three percent drop in mid-sized two-wheel-drive tractors. On the other hand, total sales for four-wheel-drive tractors for the U.S. in March experienced a 13 percent year over year growth and combine sales experienced a massive spike of more than 71 percent in sales. Canada did not see as many positive numbers in March, with growth in only the small and medium horsepower segments of tractors.
