FSA Opens Up Online Portal for CFAP Signup
WASHINGTON, DC – As more farmers and ranchers apply for Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) funds through USDA, the Farm Service Agency (FSA) is expanding options for producer applications. According to Richard Fordyce, Administrator of the Farm Service Agency (FSA), the program, which helps offset price declines and additional marketing costs due to the coronavirus pandemic, can now be applied for online. Producers with secure USDA login credentials, also known as eAuthentication, can certify eligible commodities online, digitally sign applications and submit directly to the local USDA Service Center. Producers who do not have an account can learn more and begin the enrollment process at farmers.gov/sign-in.
