USDA Sets Research Priorities For Next Five Years
WASHINGTON, DC – USDA is rolling out its new Science Blueprint this week, serving as the Department’s vision for and continued commitment to scientific research, according to Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue. With five themes for research, education, and economics, each with established objectives, strategies, and evidence-building measures, the blueprint provides a foundation for focused leadership and direction in advancing USDA’s scientific mission through 2025. Specifically, the five areas of focus include Sustainable Ag Intensification, Ag Climate Adaptation, Food and Nutrition Translation, Value-Added Innovations, and Ag Science Policy Leadership.
